OmniCard FASTag does. You approve a UPI AutoPay mandate once from any bank account that supports UPI AutoPay, set the limit, and every tag on your account tops itself up when its balance runs low. It's built for transport and logistics fleets, and News18 covered the launch on 13 Oct 2025.

No partner bank is involved. OmniCard (Eroute Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) is authorised by the RBI as a Prepaid Payment Instrument issuer and issues FASTag directly as an NPCI member, under its own licence.

Yes. OmniCard offers B2B platforms for OEMs, dealers and showrooms, so FASTag can be issued and activated when a commercial vehicle is delivered. OmniCard FASTag is also available through authorised dealer and distribution channels.

FASTag is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based electronic toll collection system operated under the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) programme by NPCI, NHAI and IHMCL. It enables automatic toll deduction when a vehicle passes through toll plazas, so there is no need to stop for cash.

Vehicles without FASTag entering a FASTag lane at a toll plaza must pay double the applicable toll fee, as per government rules.

You can apply through the OmniCard website, the mobile app, partnered POS agents and branches, or our authorised dealer and distribution channels.

KYC documents (ID and address proof of the vehicle owner) and KYV (Know Your Vehicle) documents: the vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), proof of FASTag fitment and a clear picture of the vehicle's axle for vehicle class identification.

A one-time tag issuance fee of ₹100 including GST, a refundable security deposit that varies by vehicle class, and a minimum first recharge amount.

The physical FASTag is valid for five years from issuance, subject to the account being active.

Contact OmniCard customer support immediately to block the tag. A replacement will be issued and the balance transferred.

No. FASTag is vehicle-specific and is issued against the vehicle's RC. It cannot be transferred.

Notify OmniCard and submit the updated RC. The existing FASTag will be updated; otherwise a new tag may be required.

Drive through the dedicated FASTag lane. The RFID reader scans your tag and the toll is deducted automatically from your OmniCard FASTag wallet or account. You receive an SMS or app notification for every deduction.

Check that you have sufficient balance. If the balance is sufficient but the tag isn't read, raise a complaint on 1033 or the OmniCard helpline. If the toll equipment is faulty, you should not be penalised.

Yes. Under the NETC framework, FASTag can be used at supported parking lots.

Yes. A minimum balance (threshold limit) is required depending on the vehicle class. Insufficient balance may block your tag temporarily.

No. Fund transfers are not allowed from the FASTag account. The balance can only be used for tolls, parking fees and other transactions accepted within the NETC ecosystem.

You will be charged cash or double toll as per NHAI rules. Keep a sufficient balance for a hassle-free journey, or turn on auto top-up.

If a toll is deducted incorrectly or more than once, raise a complaint with OmniCard support (email, app or helpline) with the date, time, plaza and vehicle number. The refund or reversal is processed within 7–30 working days as per NPCI guidelines.

Close the FASTag linked to your vehicle before the transfer or sale. The security deposit and remaining balance will be refunded.

Each vehicle must have only one active FASTag. Multiple tags linked to the same vehicle number may be deactivated.
