Home/Infrastructure
OmniCard holds an RBI licence to issue prepaid payment instruments and connects directly to NPCI for RuPay cards, UPI and FASTag. There's no sponsor bank between your policy and your payment.
Our own rails

Most spend platforms run on a partner bank's card programme, so every new feature waits on the bank. As the issuer, we build and launch without that queue.
Policy is checked when a payment is authorised on our own systems, so a restricted spend is declined before any money moves.
Card, UPI, wallet, settlement and ledger live in one system. Support answers faster, and reconciliation has nothing to match across.
| Typical spend platform on a sponsor bank | OmniCard, direct issuer | |
|---|---|---|
| Card issuing | Runs on a partner bank's BIN through a programme manager | Our own BIN, issued directly on NPCI |
| UPI | The bank's handle and UPI stack | Our own UPI infrastructure and @omni handle |
| FASTag | Issued by a partner bank | Direct issuer under our PPI licence |
| New features | Wait for the bank's approval and IT queue | We decide, build and ship |
| Payment controls | Limited to what the bank's switch exposes | Checked at authorisation on our own systems |
| Support & disputes | Passed between platform and bank | Resolved inside one system |
