Comparison

OmniCard vs Cashbook: petty cash and expense management compared

Both OmniCard and Cashbook let employees pay business expenses by UPI from company funds instead of cash boxes and personal money. Cashbook focuses on UPI wallets for employees, held with a partner bank, with spend limits and sync to Zoho Books and Tally. OmniCard is itself the issuer: an RBI-authorised PPI issuer and direct NPCI issuer with its own UPI handle (@omni) and RuPay BIN, and it checks policy before each payment, on UPI and cards alike.

Frequently asked questions

Is OmniCard an alternative to Cashbook?

Yes, for companies that want employee UPI spend and RuPay cards under one set of rules, checked before each payment, and more than petty cash on the same platform: FASTag, BBPS bills, reimbursements and benefits.

Who issues OmniCard's UPI IDs and cards?

OmniCard (Eroute Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) itself, as an RBI-authorised PPI issuer and a direct NPCI issuer. UPI IDs run on OmniCard's own @omni handle and RuPay cards on its own BIN. No partner bank sits in between.

How is OmniCard priced for businesses?

Two ways: a fixed fee that covers all your wallets, with setup included, or a flexible plan that grows with usage. There are no charges for loading or reloading business wallets.

Do business accounts pay a dormancy or inactivity fee?

No. Under RBI rules, a business account with no transactions for a year is made inactive after we notify you; business accounts aren't charged for this.

How fast can a business start using OmniCard?

The same day.

Does OmniCard offer credit?

No. OmniCard issues prepaid instruments: the company loads funds, and employees spend within the limits it sets.
